Do a search. I've posted my opinions in the past.

To make it short, don't put non-M Z4 H&R springs on your Z4M.

- They will slam your car. The 1.5", 1.25" is more like 2" & 1.7". Your stock struts/shocks won't last more than a few months.
- They're capable of being installed on Z4M struts/shocks, but the spring rates match up the stock strut/shocks poorly.

If you just want some aftermarket springs, the H&R springs meant for the Z4M are actually pretty decent. Many forum members have those on their Z4M's (do a search in the forum). As far as I know, only 1 person has complained about those H&R springs, but he got one of the first batch and the springs were faulty.

Or you can go the coilover route - TCKline, KW V3. But don't bother with the H&R coilovers (POS and just about the worst coilovers you can put on a BMW).

And get some aftermarket rear-shock-mounts while you're at it - Rogue Engineering, TCKline. The stock ones are prone to fail prematurely, especially with lowered suspension. Get the rear-shock-mounts now so you won't have to worry about paying for another repair/install/alighment in the near future.

I could have sworn you had a strong dislike to the H&R springs in your posts gone by!

Just to give an owners' perspective, from someone that has fitted the springs:

a) they give a nice drop which looks the part...

b) their progressive nature gives a much more compliant ride for the road than the standard setup, but it does mean they aren't 100% ideal for the track. I've grown to like them, although I never got a chance to put the MC on the track before I swapped out the stock springs, my feeling is that for track use though, the standard setup is better.

I have done quite a few hard miles in my car, with no uprated rear suspension mounts. I plan to fit these when I do my coilovers, but I'd say there's not a real need to do these with just a spring kit, especially as the ride becomes softer with the H&R springs than stock...

Read his post again. He's talking about putting non-M Z4 H&R springs on his Z4M. If you've read my posts in the past you would've known I liked the H&R springs intended for the Z4M. In fact, did I NOT just tell him the H&R springs (Z4M application) are decent in my post in this same thread?

If you have read my posts in the past you would've known why I disliked the regular non-M Z4 H&R springs.

Ahhh - i missed the important non-M on M part... I just seemed to remember you didn't like the H&R spring setup at all, which is why I was surprised to see you giving them a good recommendation, but then I might have a bit of a flakey memory... lol!
