Lowering with factory xenons

I'm looking at lowering my car as both rear springs have snapped. Looking at the spring kits (mainly eibach) they state not suitable for auto levelling. Is this the auto levelling for the xenons? Has anyone with factory xenons lowered their cars?

Yup, all work.

Heard of this before but can't see why they would affect the levelling as by definition the automatically level the lights

My theory is their legal department makes them place the disclaimer on all such products for cars with auto level systems. It is an issue with cars that use a single sensor, but since the zed uses sensors fore and aft, it auto compensates just fine.

The auto levelling (I think) has nothing to do with your headlights!...its to do with cars that have auto levelling suspension.

Auto Levelling has a lot to do with the lights! :D
There is a sensor on both the front and rear to tell your lights weather to raise of lower.
1 issue i had with mine is that the arms on these sensors are only so long and are set to standard ride height. As your suspension moves up and down it adjusts the level of your lights. I had to adjust the levels of my lights as they were far too low after lowering the car due to this. (I actually ended up snapping the front arm because the car is that low and the arm is not long enough! Quick bracket made and its all fixed and works but you may have the same issue.) Not sure if anyone else lowered has had anything similar?

Since lowering my car, I've not noticed any detrimental effects to the lights (also have the factory xenons)

A good point Luke, I think though in the context that the OP was reading the "not suitable for auto levelling" was aimed at those who's cars had auto levelling suspension. Quite a few guys here (myself included) have fitted Eibach springs and found no problem with the Xenon lights.

I lowered mine with xenons and you are supposed to adjust the headlights manually via the white Allen keys adjusters on the headlights. Once set to MOT levels the auto levelling adjusts the headlights depending on additional weight in car.
