Lowering Suspension

Need some advice, looking at lowering my E89 Z4, I thought of going with H&R springs with a 30mm drop, has anyone got this setup. I'm also running 19 " rims.

I went for the Eibach Pro-Kit springs as they gave the level of drop I was looking for, whilst still being okay to cope with speed bumps, which we have a lot of here in the UK. The H&R springs get good reviews, but the drop was a little more than I wanted. I'm also running on 19" wheels.

One of the German BMW forums had some reviews, I'll see if I can find the link for you.
Are the Eibach 25mm drop front and 15mm rear, like to see a pic of your car.

I have lowered mine 40mm on 19" M3 wheels. There was lots of rubbing at the back the tyres just catching the metal lip. Had the arches rolled much better. But still some minor rubbing on the plastic liner. A bit of heat and remoulding all good now

I have no problems with speed bumps. But I do have to be carful getting off my drive.

I notice the liner sticks out quite a bit from the metal lip, thanks for the advice on sorting the liner out.

I'd go for Eibachs, tried and tested, proven to be the best after market spring IMO.

The actual drop with the Eibach's is pretty level, our car doesn't have the sports active suspension so was sitting quite high.

This is probably the best picture I have to hand that shows how the Z4 looks with the Eibach's fitted.

Thanks Cesela, your cars looks great, can you comfirm what drop the springs were, I'm running the same wheels. Those carbon badges look good where did you get them.

The Eibach springs were these ones, supplied and fitted by AMD Essex.

The kit spec. says it lowers the front 20mm and rear 10mm, but as per the picture, the results are a balanced drop and stance.

The badges were from Ian Clifton, drop him an email [email protected] and he'll send you a PDF catalogue of the various badges he can supply. I originally purchased a couple of badges off ebay, but Ian's ones are much better quality and finish.
Thanks for the info
