lowering springs

Plenty on hear have fitted the eibach kit for every day use. I've just had a set delivered which I'm planning to fit this weekend. Worth noting if your Zed is fitted with sport suspension as standard then it's only 15mm lower. The 30mm drop is if your car has non sport set up.

bloody old thread, but… don't just fit lowering springs on your stock shocks, they will be pretty shagged before long if you do that. fit some quality shock struts too :)

I have the same dilemma: Eibach springs or full coil overs.
The rear feels like it floats over imperfect roads, doesn't inspire confidence.
The braking has always been off as the car feels unbalanced, despite the brakes working well.
(Just had new OEM discs and pads fitted & they brake well)

I'll be supercharging soon and I know what most of my other mods will be but can't decide on coil overs.
Not keen to spend that much.. but if it really transforms the handling, I'll go for the full set up.
Will be a while before it sees the track though, just a fun weekend toy for now.

Kw v3s vs club sports worth the extra 500?

its not just the price difference, thats marginal, both are expensive end of the coil over market, but they are very different in their end goals.
i went clubsport on my weekend toy... wouldnt even attempt to DD them, i would hate the car very quickly!

So do you think that the extra money for clubsports is worth it over kw v3s if I'm only ever using the car on sunny days and holiday getaways?

In that case shouldn't the more road oriented V3s be better than the track oriented Clubsports? Can set them up comfortable for the road but still stiff for B-road blasts.

Also is the extra rake that eibachs give the car a real problem as far as oversteer is concerned. I'd rather not make her too tail happy!

I've not found that, even with extra negative camber on the front their is still a slight bias to understeer. :)

Did not experience this also….

@ Fishy Dave….the set up of your roadster is rather similar then mine (I chanced from Eibach to a full Bilstein PSS-10)….
Send me a PM the next time you are going to the Nurburgring ;)
