Lowering Springs

Hi,

I'm no expert but I've done a little research and found that I can replace the springs to lower my 3.0i e85 by 30mm.

So if anyone has a set of good quality lowering springs, maybe leftover after they've upgraded to coilovers, with a lot of life left in them I'd be interested.

I'm in Shropshire, but have an old diesel runabout so happy to travel around 50 miles in any direction, possibly more for the right item.

Hi, I've got a pair of rear Eibach pro springs which came off my 3.0si E85.

I am going to potentially remove the fronts tomorrow too so I may have a full set available...

Out of interest how long did the rear take you? I’m lining up the same job to do as I also remove Eibach springs to return the car to standard height (too many grounding moments for my liking).

I'd say around 15 to 20 minute per side including jacking up, can probably do it quicker if you have the entire rear jacked up all at once though, I was faffing around doing one side at a time. Leaving the handbrake off will also make it easier

Good to hear, I was thinking it would be about 30-60mins. Suspect I’ll give the wheels a good clean while they’re off the car and check the condition of the dampers.
 
Hi Paul,
I just removed my H&R lowering kit off my e85 LCI. They have just done c. 5k miles and are in good condition.
I am about to put up an ad on the forum, but feel free to PM me if you are interested :wink:
