Lowering springs for 3.0L si 2006 Roadster

My 3.0L si 2006 Roadster is going into the menders next week for a few minor things, and whilst its there I'd like them to fit some lowering springs too. I have heard good things about Eibach 30mm's for a mean stance. Was hoping to hear from Other Zed owners who have lowered theirs for some advice and guidance.

I am running 224 18" //M wheels (tyres not yet purchased, i'm torn between fitting the size i'm currently wearing:

Rear 255/40 ZR 18's
Front 225/45 ZR 18's

Or going for something slightly lower profile :

Rear 255/35
Front 225/40

I suppose with the intended 30mm drop, lower profile tyres might be the most sensible option.
What do the experts think ? ! ? !

This. I have Eibachs on with the profile above on 18" 108s and they are perfect. I wouldn't put higher profile tyres on the 224s I will soon have :D
 
Loads of topics on lowering, there's a few on page 1 currently of this section. Also the search will dig up a lot of info for you.
 
The Si Sport - which I think yours is looking at the seats - drops by about 15-20mm as it's already on slightly lower springs anyway as standard. As for improvement, depends what you mean... After an alignment - and you really need to do one after lowering - it handled much better, tighter feeling and less body roll. Better over small bumps, but harsher on roller-coaster or bad roads. As you'd expect really. A pic for your delectation (I also have spacers on front and back but you don't need them with 224s) :

And yes, I do get rubbing, drivers front mainly, just behind the reflector. None on the rear. No, I don't care - I just carry gaffer tape in the boot :lol:

Yes mine is an Si. So your saying that If I buy some 30mm Eibach lowering springs, It'll effectively drop the car 15-20mm as the current springs already lower the ride height somewhat? That makes sense.

The 'Sport' is the important bit - looks like you have M Sport seats (no separate headrest), if you have black spokes on your steering wheel, and the steering wheel feels chunky then yes, you should also already be be on sport springs that are slightly lower than on the SE... Which has different seats and silver spokes on the steering wheel.

Yep, def a "sport" as I have the chunky wheel with the black spokes !

Ah, too bad! I'll have to put them back in the garage for another year.
