Planing to by som lowering springs, i got one stock z4 m coupe.
I want a more agresive look on my car, but i still want to be able to drive it as "normal"

I got an m3 e46 befor whit 40mm front /30 mm back, this was perfekt for me.
But i think z4 is more lowering stock?

Anyway what do you guys think about this two?

Eibach and H&R seem to be the most used on the forum.

Think H&R have a harder ride so if you want to drive 'normal', Eibachs might be the best choice....

I have H&R springs they are slightly lower than the Eibacks and do give a harder ride but it does look awesome

 It does look awesome! How much clearance under the car do you have? Do you find it's still practical with all the traffic-calming junk they put on our roads, or do you have to stop and creep over it all?

Realy nice! Have you used spacers to?

In the ad it says the eibach will do - 40mm
H&R - 25MM

Are you shure the H&R is lowering more?

are your wheels 18's or 19's i'm trying to find the perfect wheel size to lowering ratio to fill the arches properly, yours looks spot on

He has 18, its oem wheels

Eibacks dont lower that far as far as I know. I think the H&Rs lower slightly more and harder ride, Im pretty sure its not 40mm on Eibacks I think they are 30mm on the rear and 35mm for the H&Rs. But dont quote me on it a quick search will send you in the right direction.

Dont quote me on this either but I think the springs for the Z4M are different to the 3.0SI in both Eiback and H&R form so may lower different distances. My car came with the springs so I cant tell you for sure.

I dont have any spacers because they would rub on the rear for sure, its very close as it is. Ive had no problem with road obstacles and have a lot of big speed bumps around where I live and have no problems.

But the stance it gives the car is pretty epic

No there won't be any rubbing unless you bottom it out. I have a set of CSL alloys too no problems

There are many people on the forum who have Eiback with many wheel combinations not many with rubbing issues.

If i could get your mods with springs, my good it looks so nice!
There you Se that OEM wheels are relay nice actually!

What could it be, 60mm?

Coil overs are 2-3x more expensive than lowering springs. They are unnecessary for 90% of people depends what you budget it but you can change the ride height with coil overs. The Eibacks are the best all round option, my H&Rs are very stiff although I haven't been in a car with Eibacks to compare. Coil overs will degrade your ride more and I clear speed bumps but only just at 35mm with a 65mm drop you will surely need to change the back boxes of the exhaust you can see form my car side profile in the sig how low the back boxes sit, maybe 4 1/5 inches off the ground at the most.

I was on the back roads of Lake Ullswater Cumbria UK yesterday doing about 75mph (no traffic at all) and bottomed the rear suspension in a small dip, for the first time which did worry me.. pretty sure the exhaust had a small impact in the dip too. For all round performance and more aggressive look you cnant go wrong with the eibacks. Put into context a good set of CSL alloys will cost you in GBP £900+ then tyres £800+ then a good coil over package from H&R is £1250+ your looking at £3k you could save a fair amount of money without the coil overs and get a good set of CSLs
