You can get spring assistors that sit in the coils but these are really for caravanners, trailer towing etc, you can feel them when they're in and I imagine they'd really screw the ride up on a Zed. The old way was to cut half a coil off to lower a car but it's a total bodge. Why don't you look into some properly custom made progressive rate springs to your own height spec, I had some made for my old xr3 and they we're brilliant, gave a lovely ride without being crashy. Try a few places and you'll find someone to make them, they often will give you some sets to try as a guinea pig if they aren't making them for your car and you should get a final set for free. An old mate used to run Shocktactics in Dewsbury and he had springs made, I'll give him a buzz and ask where if you want as I can't remember where or who they we're off hand.
