Lowered Z and the I.O.W

Just had a small break in the Isle of Wight, I've always loved the Isle of Wight and I've been there about 5 or 6 times before but mainly on my old Harley, never in the Z4.
So this time it came as a bit of a shock to see the state of their roads, i don't think i've ever driven on such appalling roads before. I spent most of the time driving the Z as if i was drunk, swerving all over to avoid the potholes , and this was the case all over the island. I really do feel for anyone living there.
How my wheels survived I will never know, even the wife helped in spotting the pot holes.
Any way, apart from the neglected roads we had a great time and the weather was fairly kind to us.
If you're into history then Osborne House is a must; Queen Victoria's seaside retreat.
As expected the Z ran like a dream and even got 34.5 mpg, got to love 3.0si.

I bet you were concerned on the ferry though. Didn't even take my company car on there a couple if years ago. Took the wife's instead

Red funnel were great, told them the Z was very low and they put me on the lower deck with the coaches. They couldn't have been more helpful, you would think I was driving a Ferrari

I don't think you have done much to encourage tourism to the island (not in a zed anyway) :D

Surely they can't be any worse than the roads on the mainland? Try north Devon!
