Lower grilles

Pity both lower grilles are not open. Understand the cars with oil coolers have the right one open, but left is closed.
Bit annoying they seem hard to keep clean, mine always appear covered in dust.
Just wondering if spraying them gloss black might keep them cleaner longer, or just look naff.
As they do look good when sprayed up with bumper shine, but just doesn't last more than a day.

I suppose you could dremmel out the diamonds but the engine bay would then get all the dirt! :o

I think they feed the wheel arches not the engine bay but could be wrong i'd go and look but i'm at work

Now had a closer look with trim off, the black has gone a chalky grey, so will try some satin black paint first.

The silver trim would look better painted either body colour or black.
Even just the outside of the silver trim painted black and the piece in the middle left silver.
