Lower Grill ! Help

So some of my goodies have arrived. I did a quick search and most guides are on the kidneys and not the lower grill. I have given it a wiggle and pull but its not budging. Have I miss-understood the posts that state this is a push and pull item or does this take a bit more work! ?
 
For dismanteling the lower grille you have to get the front bumper off.

It is held on by "springnuts"
They are a kind of pushclips on small plastic studs on the bumper.

Do not try to pry off the springnuts from the small plastic studs by force or you'll damage the studs. Better try to cut the springnuts with some sidecutting pliers and install a new grille with new springnuts. If the small bumperstuds are damaged or broken off the springnuts will not hold and you'd have to mount the grill with some sealant or so.
 
I had to replace the lower grille on my facelift 3.0 - I still needed to take the bumper off, but the grille was a lot easier to fit. It just had tension clips on the grille itself.
