to see if the bulb will light in test mode if not maybe the bulb has blown.

The difference is that you need some GO GO juice! :)

certainly do ;) still managing 13mpg in this weather tho :P

I'd love to know why BMW thought it would be a good idea to fit this to some and not to others. Clearly the info I was given by BMW was BS.

Also - why did they think it would be good to have orange backlighting on the Si and the naff blue/white on the M. I guess orange light must be heavier!!!

I also think the rev light LEDs could have done with being left back at Halfords!!! If I see a red light in the corner of my eye on the dash - that tells me something is wrong - not that I shoulldn't do. Especially when that something could be limited electby software.

Oh well, at least I've got a washer light.

I quite like the dash lighting :?

Anyway did the test mode and still no light so either the bulb has gone or it was never fitted.

Mine definitely does not come on when starting up. The "placeholder" for it is visible in the picture below, but I have not yet had low washer fluid level so no idea if the bulb is fitted or not.
BTW, did not realise that the UK cars have both miles and km on the speedo - I thought only the North American cars had miles. Also notice that (ga41's) is only marked to 290km/h, whereas mine goes to 300. Guess I have the faster car then  .

Noooo!

I'd much rather have your km only speedo.. Much cleaner and we only use kilometers here anyway.

sept 56 plate z4mc and NO low windscreen light here.

car is one built before passenger airbag deactivation button became standard -this may narrow down build dates

no ones listening to me

I've got an 06 Launch MR and I have the washer fluid light, but I don't think it's as simple as to when it comes on, at least in mine.

It definitely came on the other day, but then next time i used the car without filling it up it wasn't then lit.

might have something to do with when the car detects a low level it stops washing the headlights - you'd expect it to stay lit from then on.

The light washers stop working earlier because the pump feed is higher up the bottle than the window feed. I wonder if it's got something to do with the passenger airbag deactivisation option. Perhaps the wiring goes with that or something, that would explain why all the new ones have it and only some of the old ones.

good point, but I'm afraid I don't have that option in mine either. very peculiar indeed.

oh well.. when your lights stop spraying, it's almost time to fill up. :!:

I didn't think my M Coupe had one either ... but a few nights ago it popped up, must get some screenwash! Excuse the horrible image.

my 06 Z4MR doesn't have the warning. the icon outline can be seen adjacent to the tyre pressure monitor but doesn't light on ignition and has never illuminated desipte running it to empty a couple of times. don't have the passenger airbag deactivation.

That is very strange. You don't have the indicator next to the gear shift or the switch in the door jam to turn on or off??

I thought that was only if you had the ISOFIX system installed?
