Now you have a code reader clear the faults and rescan without starting the car, that should then show no faults, then start the car and let it idle, you could try blipping the throttle a few times, then just turn it off and re scan and see if you get the same faults, it seems a little strange that both VANOS solenoids are both faulty at the same time, unless they are being starved of oil, you could try taking them out and giving them a clean with some brake cleaner or petrol, if you remove them both don’t mix up the connectors when refitting.
