Low pressure high - a/c hot, expansion valve?

My a/c quit cooling, compressor engaged low side 65 and high side 225 @90*. I think the expansion valve is bad. Has anyone replaced one? Can I replace it from the firewall side? Someone said I would need to pull the dash for access but would rather not do that. Any info would be appreciated.

I'll just update: I wasn't able to replace the expansion valve since the small center bolt feels like it wants to strip when I put pressure on it. I did replace the dryer. The system held vacuum and I recharged showing 48* at the vent with 90* ambient temp. I think I may still have a problem with the ac control because it quit cooling after a 30 min drive across town. When I restarted it later it cooled just fine on the way back home. I dont think it is cold enough to freeze up but I am still looking at it.

I don't think the ac would work at all in transport mode. Since evac and recharge it works good most of the time. I need to replace the expansion valve. (i think) On a 100* day the pressures get too high and the high pressure switch cuts off power to the compressor.

Final update: My main problem was the compressor which I changed along with the expansion valve, dryer and 2 hoses. To answer my own question whether the EV can be replaced from the firewall side the answer is yes. Some have said you have to drill out the bolts and I did have to drill out a stripped bolt in the outer bracket, the rest was easy. A 90* drill adaptor helped with this.
