Jamie sent me this.. I just had to know more :)

First registered 05/03/2015 - This car has now done 409,000 miles!!!

That's 993 days averaging 411 miles a day!! They use them for the coach drivers to go from job to job, obviously to get around tacho and driving hours as I presume they can be on a "rest" period but still moving to another job.

If I was still renting out cars to taxi drivers, I'd be all over it at £4k, which is what I reckon it's worth. He also has a a 14/14 with 346k in similar condition for £3500...

IMO, cars that get to these mileages are usually pampered, and above all reliable..

Anyone seen anything as new with more miles?

Seems expensive to me! Must have been written back to nothing on their books. And good God they look dull in Doom Blue - and that is from a Skoda enthusiast!

Impressive mileage all the same!

TBH, I can't understand why they are getting rid, for what it stands them, I'd run them until they go pop.

But, prob more to gain from spending another £18k with the VAT..

If you gave the car to me I would not want it. Why is it worth more than say £500 ?

But, but, but.... They are Volkswagens :P

Say what you will, I think they have stood up to those mileages quite well, bit of wear on the wheel/gearknob and drivers seat, but the rest looks immaculate. Mind you they prob only had one occupant at a time, drive to site, and leave for next driver.. Think of how much fuel the black one has used!

Quick calc @ 44mpg, about £45,000 in diesel?

Mike

They look to have stood the test well! Am surprised at the high value in them though at that milage as they are one problem away from scrap.
