Low coolant level warning 35is

My low coolant level light came on yesterday and I am a little concerned as I think this is somewhat odd in 14 month old car driven 7500 miles :( . Anyone agree? No driving problems to report yet. I did search the forum and there was some mention that there are models excluding zeds that need regular coolant top up...... that doesn't seem right to me either....

I was of the impression that coolant was a non-service item which technically doesn't need touching for long periods.

Should I be worried?

Any advice, as always, very much appreciated.

Cheers JC :D

PS- got some replacement coolant from dealer and assume I fill up to top of the red 'stick' in the coolant chamber??

It shouldn't lose coolant if a sealed system however I had to top mine up so there must be a little evaporation over time, however I never had the warning light so yours have lost a bit. I would just top up as per handbook and keep an eye on it.

Tim.

Many thanks Tim :D

Topped up with coolant on a freezing cold engine this morning and all the warning lights have gone to sleep.

Back to very slow zooming on these icy roads 8)

Cheers JC :)
