Loving new interior

I'm not a big fan of the aluminium dash many of us get stuck with (and I'm sure many really like), so I was really pleased with it when I sprayed it in gunmetal for a change. I definitely wasn't planning another overhall so my latest purchase came completely on the whim because I caught them going cheap.

I'm delighted I took the plunge. I think the carbon leather dash really complements the carbon covered interior parts and the pearl black gear surround and ashtray look almost identical to the veneer of the piano black center console. I even like the grey door cards and think the suede I've ordered to retrim them is a mistake. I know the radio and shiny bits divide opinion but I like them.

All in all the interior has been on a bit of a journey but I think I've finally got there.

The rather tacky early days:

Looks really good. Going to keep an eye out hoping to do something similar. Excellent mod.

Not keen on the chrome parts whatsoever, but the carbon leather is nice. Sometimes less is actually more.

Anyway, your photos always mess up my phone for some reason. They take forever to load.

I really like the piano black....

What gear selector lever do you have - looks extremely short (in a good way)

Gear knob and hand brake are from Storm Motorwerks, you're right it's very short and has a really nice weight to it.

Bit too much going on for me. Carbon, leather, suede, piano...

Glad you're happy with it though!

Probably because they were taken on the DSLR so will be super high resolution. My phone camera is a little bit smashed to pieces.

I get you with the chrome bits, not to everyones taste. But when I put the new dash piece on I tried the radio/vents without the aluminium surround and to me it just doesn't look right in CF being two separate parts, I can't put my finger on why. I'm trying to make it look more of a feature with the surround rather than separate vents and separate radio. Annoyingly it actually looks good at night which kinda disproves my point but I'll get a photo tomorrow in daylight.

Sure I understand that. I'm reliably informed that the Individual models came with piano black center console and leather dash, so to that extent it would be akin to OEM. Admittedly the other parts, suede/carbon/aluminium are all added and I take your point there.

Very nice! Those chrome rings would look nice in the same CF as the radio...

Haha don't give me more ideas! That would mean sending them all the way to Cyprus... but it's actually a good idea

lol....happy to spend your money for you! To be fair, I think those with the speaker rings in CF would look cool.

I actually prefer the brushed ally trim, brightens the cockpit up a bit. I find so many dashboards are black and a bit dull.

I'd love the extended leather for the windscreen surround and the sun visors.

Is the radio and vents wrapped?

Radio and vents are laminated in carbon fiber (not vinyl wrapped).

Sounds expensive

Probably not as much as you would think, but probably more than necessary. I get it a bit cheaper for organising a group buy on here and getting the place some extra business. If I had it done by somewhere over here it would probably have cost at least double what I paid.
