Wow, some of the responses on here are eye opening :| I think there are quite a few people on here that need to grow up. It's like being back on the Cliosport forums!

An ASBO!!? Seriously? The guy left you a note asking you to move your car. He hasn't put a brick through your window, killed your dog and slashed your tyres. Get over yourself and get on with life, it's too short for pettiness such as this!
Look mate, this is a light hearted thread about annoying neighbours. I would not mind a polite note asking me to move my car if somebody was having some form of delivery.
You don't know the whole story, only what I have shown you and he was standing outside his house shouting "f***ing move your BMW".

If you can't see that his note is rude and intimidatory then perhaps you need to see a psychiatrist about your sociopathic tendencies.

From what you have stated in the thread so far, I would conclude that you are in fact the rude and intimadating party. You openly stated that you knocked on his door and pointed out his errors with regards to the date on the note whilst calling him certain things. Obviously, as you pointed out, I don't know the whole story, but it does not sound like you knocked on his door and offered an apology for causing any inconvenience whilst telling him you only parked infront of his house due to the fact no alternative parking was available at the time.

I don't know you nor your neighbour so I can only go by the facts presented by you on this thread. When opening a thread like this you cannot expect everybody to agree with you. The joys of forums huh?

Have a great weekend
I didn't cause any inconvenience to apologise about. Just because he says it is an inconvenience doesn't mean it is. I spoke to his neighbour who said he does it all the time and that he is a very nasty man.
Also the community police officers who came round were perplexed by is rude note and went to have a word with him.
I don;t expect any one to agree with me but if you don't then expect me to reply to your messages. The beauty of forums hey?

I fully expect you to reply. What you have just said has never been mentioned previously on the thread, so as I said earlier, I could only base an opinion on the facts that were presented. If you presented the facts about your neighbour having previous form of being akward then my opinion would have been different. If he is as nasty as you say then I would certainly avoid parking infront of his property again if you are fond of your paintwork.

Some people allow bullies to leave notes on their cars when perfectly legally parked and also allow them to verbally abuse them whilst quietly getting in their car and driving away. Some people when faced with a busy-body that tries to bully people and verbally abuse them, fight fire with fire. Depending on your personality, both reactions are understandable.

One of the notes placed on my car referred to my wife along with a lot of expletives. I knocked on every door in the immediate vicinity of the car and guess what, nobody owned up. These small-minded idiots are probably best ignored but confronting them and their idiotic hitler type attitude is perfectly understandable.

I actually care more about my liberty to park where I want than my paintwork. If you can't see anything wrong with the note he left then that is your subjective view and everybody has a different idea of what is acceptable. I think I didn't really have to elaborate too much except I was parking in a parking space outside somebodys house that I am allowed to park in without any repercussion or feeling that I have inconvenienced any body. Most people seem to get it, but we all see the world in different ways and in yours I guess it's fine to leave rude notes on people's cars who park outside your house. His car was also parked right outside his house too by the way. You can get 2 cars there. But I didn't think I needed to point that out as it wouldn't matter even if he couldn't park outside of his house. I did nothing wrong and inconvenienced nobody.

Every cloud has a silver lining   or not as in your case.
