Loudspeaker info

Hi guys,
I have a problem with one of the loudspeaker in the back of the seat, i searched on real oem to have the exactly type of speaker, i only found that they are "MID-range loudspeaker". I don't have the HIFI system, i was wondering anyone know the power, dimension etc.? and also if it is a mid-range or mid-woofer. The stock system is a 2way or 3way? I need this information in order to replace both of these, i want replace them with an aftermarket speakers.

I haven't got involved in the stereos but I'm pretty sure the speakers behind the seats on the standard 6-speaker set up are mid-range - hopefully someone knowledgeable will be along soon!

Yeah the top one is mid range - same as the one in the door I believe or similar anyway.

You then have a tweeter in the pillar and then a woofer where your feet are. The other grill (mid) in the door is actually empty just like the cubby below the speaker behind the seat.

Thanks guys, yes, i only have 2 woofer, 2 mid and 2 tweeter, didn't know that the the grill on the door were empty :rofl:
Do you have any advice on which mid-range i can replace with? i read on internet that they are 100mm, 4ohm, 25w, 100-15000hz (mid-range)

No idea sorry but probably best speaking with your local car audio specialist. You can get much better speakers for the money than buying the direct replacement BMW chose.

Yeah the doors have no speakers just the tweeter in the pillar. The grill on the door is just for show on the 6 speaker setup.

Yes the bmw replacement cost too much imo :)
 
Set of these will do the job nicely, I put them in the same location on my e89
