Loudspeaker Business Woofers

Hello,

I have the upgraded business loudspeaker system in my Z but concerned that the woofers behind the seats have blown. They seem awfully quiet to me. Aren't these speakers suppose to be the bass units therefore majority of the low range comes from these? Or is there a specific setting I need to balance out the ranges?

Has anyone else experienced this?

Have you taken the covers off and checked speaker movement?

There's a setting to balance the front to rear volume, I think it's 'fade'. I would go out and check mine but its a bit late at night and I'm afraid I can't be arsed right now. Maybe you should check the setting for this on your zed

Aren't the woofers are in the front kickpanels?

Professional audio has a subwoofer behind the seats.

I had the Loudspeaker Professional and it was rubbish for the money it cost.

I had the same problem as the OP. The speakers behind the seats seemed awfully quiet. They got louder if you turned dolby on but then that effected the clarity of voices.

The standard system in my Audi is IMO better than the £900 option in the E89.

i must admit you dont get a lot for your money. however i did test drive a sdrive20 without the upgraded speakers and that was unbelievably awful, very thin and tinny sounding.

I must admit this is the worst thing about my car and shame on BMW to think that 100 Watts is adequate for a convertible. JDM you are quite correct having owned a few Audi's their standard audio system is far superior, however in Latin, Audi equates roughly to listen in English so you would expect so

My 35i has the professional system and is really good - goes very loud too - can feel the subs behind the seats working, let alone hear them! Much better than the 330i std system, although that is OK for normal use too...
