Finally managed to get the Mrs project car taxed today, so off to the petrol station as it was running on fumes and I think the line from the advert that said ‘drives fine as it is’ included a little ‘artistic licence’….
I’m not bothered, I didn’t expect a car with out issues… I’m just glad it was delivered by transporter
Anyway, first drive time, very loud grinding/metallic noise. Painful and unmissable.
So I’ve got the car up on stands and while there is a degree of noise when rotating the rear wheels by hand, it’s nothing compared to the noise when driving it.
Car was advertised as having ‘’a grumbly diff and needing a new wheel bearing, but drives fine as it is’’ - before I start taking the wheels off and looking at the brakes, hand brake shoes etc any other obvious ‘quick tests’ I’m missing?
Just to add, I’m not moaning about the car at all, in fact I’m quite amused at this point… 8)
