Lottery

I have always said that the lottery is engineered and there is nothing "random" about the numbers that come out...


That said ,my local pub syndicate won big before I came to live in the village... About 20 years ago, over 1 million between 12 people... So on the basis that lightening never strikes twice, I will keep my stealth tax in my pocket...

My mates mum won just over £5M about 10 years ago with a lucky dip. Still doesn't entice me to play though!
 
Shame about the woman in the news who didn't have enough funds for the DD to pay for a £2 ticket. Didn't buy the ticket so no £35m

I play it a couple of times a month hoping like everyone for that big win... Though to be honest even £20k would be nice :D

However when I don't play I religiously don't watch the results or look up the numbers - I always use the same numbers, plus a lucky dip, so I just don't want to know if my numbers came up when I didn't play...
 
lol i would never use the same numbers, i would jump of a bridge if my numbers came up and i hadn't put them on that week lol
 
Take a look around the net about Camelot.
Its apparently owned by some Canadian Teachers Pension group or something and they are using it to bump up their pensions.
Also because it is a foreign company they have been dodging tax as well, allegedly over £10million.
They get given money for nothing and yet still cannot pay their taxes.
 
I buy one ticket for each Wed and Sat - got 2 chances tonight though as I had 2 numbers come up Wed and got a free ticket :D Tonight is well worth a go as the jackpot has to be won - if nobody gets all six numbers they will go back to five and the bonus , then five only etc . Hope that this happens so that the jackpot can be shared with a number of winners - unless of course I have the only ticket with six numbers :P

Each of my 4 children would get at least 5 million each ( should last them at least a fortnight :rofl: ) Keep a couple of million for ourselves and give the rest away :roll:
 
I joined the works syndicate years ago and we have had a few small wins in that time. I was thinking about leaving it, but can't imagine what it would be like if they had a big win and I had come out of it, so just keep the £2 a week going, My wife does the occasional lucky dip but that's it really.
 
Look on the brightside there's still the Powerball Lottery currently at a Billion Dollars or 900 million quid. If you win don't forget who told you :)

i won it yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, i'm over the money, all my worries are over. i'm going to help out all my friends and family

Well, that's three times more than me!

Can't remember the last time we've won anything on the lottery, but we still had a go yesterday.
 
Not a jackpot win but had 5 numbers last Saturday, £1469 richer.
Its the 3rd 5 number win we've had. First made us £2000, 2nd was only £580.
