Lost steering wheel and heat sheild frustration

Hi Folks.
Sent off my wheel to Royal couple of weeks back and got an email to say it was on its way with Parcelforce24.
I was brimming with excitement and couldn't wait for it to arrive , that was on Monday and it's still not here :| .
The tracking info shows that it never left Milton Keynes depot, needless to say I'm gutted and have been in touch with Parcelforce
to be told that its gone missing. I now have a car I can't use and a potential outlay for a replacement M wheel. Anyone had experience
Parcelforce losing stuff?

On a different topic, I was under the car to replace my rear silencer and noticed the heat shield over the silencer was all but shot, now my new silencer is a lot smaller and isn't in the proximity to body work, do I still need it, or can it be disposed of?

Get onto royal and ask them to sort out their problem, as it was lost in transit to you, not the other way around.

I've emailed them twice with no response, which totally goes against what I've read of Royals reputation.

Phone them & explain the issue, I'm sure they will help!

Hope you find a solution but if you are looking for a steering wheel in good condition I have one spare that I would sell. Good luck!

Its a small outfit and so they aren't the quickest responding to emails, as suggested give them a ring I'm sure they will get on to it pronto. Royals do a lot of business with the forum and I've never heard a negative from anyone.
Very frustrating though :(

Just to update this , I was contacted by Royal last monday to say that Parcelforce had found it minus it's address lable. It duly showed up all of 5 weeks late, but I'm just glad to have it back cuz it looks marvellous :)

How the hell does a package lose its address label?
Anyway, glad its arrived and you're happy with it

How does the Royal Mail manage to stay in business? Speaking from experience as they have recently managed to loose 3 different parcels which I had sent. Customer service, and I am using the term loosely here is useless and I am currently waiting to hear how my compensation claims are progressing. Their online tracking system is next to useless as it doesn't always reflect the correct stage in the delivery process. I will be using a different delivery in future!

I have no idea how an address label can become detatched or how it takes 5 weeks to notice. You're 100% right about customer services, all they could tell me was exactly what i could see on the traching info. Why do UPS and DPD manage and Parcelforce fail repeatedly?
