Lost parking sensors/reverse lights

There's no bleep engaging reverse, or when getting close to an object, they don't click when individually listening to them either.

Only today I noticed the reverse lights aren't coming on, this leads me to believe it could be the reverse light switch?

Anyone had any experience with this? Where is it located? Is there a fuse I can check first? Will get the multimeter out tomorrow and check for continuity but I need to know where things are first!

Cheers

Check the fuses, but I think your diagnosis of the switch is most likely. I don't know where the zed's switch is, but almost certainly on the gearbox near where the stick enters. You might be able to see it lifting the gaiter, or get it up on ramps and look underneath

Realoem might help?

I would suspect that the micro switch would be located under the gear lever gaiter. The micro switch would be activated when the gear lever is put into reverse. Have you pulled the gear lever gaiter up and had a look?

Also worth going and checking Real OEM to see if you can find a exploded view diagram http://www.realoem.com/bmw/

*EDIT* As Stuart has said, he just beat me to it

Cheers guys.

All sorted now. Figured I'd check the fuses first to see if something had blown, sure enough it had! Blown 10amp out, new one in, good as new!

Special thanks to Adamski for the fuse diagram.
