So I bought a bootlid for my e46 on eBay - was couriered via parcel force & 'delivered' on Monday, signed for by an 'M Taylor at number 4.
Now - I live on a new build housing estate and no one lives at number 4. So I ring parcelforce - their vans have GPS and the man on the phone confirmed that the driver entered my estate, not nesescarily the house number but the van certainly made an appearance near to my house.
I've visited all the Neigbour's in the vacinity and no one has it - I'm not too familiar with names either & I'm really at a loss now where it is? It's not like a small thing someone's kept in their porch & forgot about it either it's a bloody massive boot lid!
Just rang parcelforce again who are going to speak to the driver & get him to revisit my housing estate later this week to see if he can remember what house it was left at, but I'm not holding much hope,
I asked the guy on the phone what happens if it doesn't turn up, he said I will have to get in contact with the sender & be re-imbursed, however from ebay's perspective wouldn't they just turn round and say, 'well it says delivered here sir' & just fob me off?
I'm at a loss now as it wasn't cheap & don't know what to do,
Any advice appreciated
Jamie
