Have lost one of my keys, have the spare..

Any idea how much a replacement key will cost? guessing dealer only?

Also whats happened to the alpina register? gone off line..

Timpsons reckon they can duplicate BMW keys.

I thought it was just me who couldnt get on the the Alpina site.. Must be maintenance I would guess.

domain name is down..dns issue..if it were maintenance it would go to a site..

will check out timpsons - but what about the alarm thob built into the key

thanks

DNS is resolving correctly, it's returning 404 errors so it's hitting the right server but the server can't display the requested page - earlier it was redirecting to the fastsaloons home page which is one of Neil's other sites - sure Neil will have it fixed shortly

Replacement will cost one of your arms and probably a leg.

You might want to look into selling a Kidney too.

Seriously though I'll have a guess at £150 + BMW Tax + Alpina tax. £200 all in.

Luckily, there's no Alpina Tax on keys, they're standard BMW items so, although the normal anally-accessed walletectomy will be enforced, he might be fortunate enough to retain possession of one of his limbs

Depending on your location I can recommend http://www.bmkeys.com

I had a Bentley style key and a plastic service key done but he does the regular BMW key. I think I paid £70 for it. I know a few others on here have also used him for spare keys.

I got a proper spare key done when my zed was in for its inspection 2 a couple of months ago and a key supplied and coded from the dealer was £117.90.

Just checked him out £65 for 2 keys cut and coded (a normal remote key and a service key) is a proper bargain!

Shame he's in London though as don't fancy taking my car apart to send him the immobiliser unit.

Anyone know of someone in Yorkshire who offers similar service and prices
