Lost Auto Volume Adjust :(

So I've recently changed the standard radio (prefacelift) to a black facelift one but since doing so the volume auto adjust has gone. I didn't think I liked it till I now don't have it!

Is there a setting somewhere to toggle this or is there something I can do to change this back?

you mean the volume that changes as you speed up?
have you checked the pins at the back haven't come loose? its the thin white wire with a brown tracer if I remember correctly? theres a pin out on here. I would check that!

just googled as was curious
and came across this....
Try this:
Set the Audio source to the radio.
Turn the Radio OFF
Turn the Radio ON
Press and hold the SEL button for 10 seconds (you get into the hidden menu).
Use the < and > to change to the GAL screen
Change the value of GAL with the preset number buttons, 1 = little change, 6 = large change.
Turn radio OFF to save new settings.

Just remove the pin from the plug, no need to cut. If it has no effect you can then plug back in.

Changed GAL to 5 (stupidly didn't test if it worked so will report back later today!)
