Loosing my RAGtop to a cat!

Unfortunately the nutty neighbour a few doors down the road has this moggy (cat) who is a persistent offender in sitting on the roof of my roadster. :x

I have been lying in wait with my ammunition of strong elastic bands to fire at the offending rodent through a crack in the window, which I have had no luck with just yet, or finding I’m continually looking out the window checking, isn’t that sad. :tumbleweed:

The thing is it leaves foot prints on the boot and the fear it will use the roof as a scratching post is driving me crazy. :(

The owner wouldn’t understand my concern even if I did have a word because of her lack of personal hygiene or regard for property judging by the mess outside on her front garden. :poke:

I’m thinking of baiting it and dumping it outside the RSPCA.

What else can I do? :headbang:

Regards Pete

Next time you see it on your roof, get a water spray and spray it off, otherwise just put some chilli powder on it, that should keep it away......

I think you can get cat repellant sprays. They won't do your roof any harm, but will keep the pesky moggy away :)

I used to have to place a spinkler system hooked up to one of those motion sensors (like on an intruder light) outside our house to stop animals sitting on/in the cars.

It only costs about £40 for the lot and takes almost nothing to connect the pair.

Thanx guys,

The pneumatic Crossman armed pellet system I was thinking of would put a hole in the roof, I know which moggy it is and his days are numbered!

Just for the animal lovers out there I was joking! :| :fuelfire:

out neighbours cat used to sit on mine... our two never bothered - strange how different cats adopt different habits.

I just lived with it TBH, never had any scratches on the paintwork, and never any holes in the roof from claws. Just used to have to hoover up the cat hair occasionally...

There was a cat at work that liked to sit on bonnets of warm cars. On my old 3 it used to jump up but must have misjudged and put its claws through the lacquer all the way down the corner end of the bonnet and the whole way down the front bumper.

I took a shotgun to it. :guns:

Or I would have done but it was when that rampaging murdering streak was going on in Cumbria and didnt want to mistaken for a Raoul Moat or Derrick Bird type.

Fortunately it was squashed by an Arctic lorry. Karma

With two dogs next door and my two cats looking on through the bay window as per Gannet this pussy is rubbing my nose in it and is blatantly taking the biscuit, I say cream him!

I used to have the same problem on an old e30 soft top I had. I just used some spray you can get from the pet shop, they also don't like citrus smells like lemon juice.

with an E89, you could just activate the roof when he's on it. It will squash him flat and stow him away nicely in the boot.

- followed by a quick drive to France and let him out.

On my old ragtop I would always end up with someones cat sleeping on the roof. I never saw any cats, including my own, put claws into it though. They just sort of liked the hammock style appeal of the roof I guess.
