Loose headliner

The headliner over my shoulder on the driver's side has always been a bit loose, but it's gotten worse this year and now pretty much the entire height of the window and down around the corner is loose. It looks like it's only held onto the frame by some holes in the headliner that look like they hook over the tiny rivets that are in the roof frame. No matter what I do I can't get the headliner to reattach/stay attached and I'm not surprised tbh given how shallow the rivet heads are.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? It's just flapping around now and whilst it isn't a major issue, it's a small job I'd like resolved. Gluing the headliner seem to the frame doesn't sound logical as it surely needs to flex as the roof comes down.

Assuming it's a convertible you can part open the roof and drop the headlining partly from the front, then there's a plastic strip in the headlining that is screwed to the frame, it splits where the screws go through but you can drill pilot holes in the strip and attach it there instead.

Thanks - I didn't realise the seem of the liner had a plastic strip in it! I saw the holes in at the edge of the liner and assumed the originally attached via the rivet. Will drop the roof down this weekend and see if I can reattach by clipping the plastic back into the metal frame.

I had a good look at this yesterday and today; the plastic seem around the headliner if all intact, but as suspected it is the holes in this plastic that appears to fit over the small rivets that are in the roof skeleton, and there is no way I can see of getting them to reattach. Looks like it'll just have to be something I live with.
