Loose cables above foot pedals

Can someone tell me what these cables above the foot pedals are. Bought my car this week and noticed them today.

I bought the car from a BMW dealer and it went through all the checks... I am wondering if they just forgot to reconnect them or if its something else...

The white one and the black round one should be plugged into the odbc port.

You should see it on the plastic above the pedals.. to the right.

Just remove the entire plastic - 3 maybe 4 phillips screws and plus it back in. (Even though there are many available sockets for the black part - it will only plus in one way)

Tried looking for a pic.. but i couldnt find one!

The small square block is for the footwell lights...

Stupid garage must have removed all the lower plastics and never plugged anything back in :x

I don't know if it really is odbc. I took off the cover and I cannot find any open connectors. Also these cables were bound to another one which is connected to the brake pedal, seems a bit strange (see the tape which came loose and which was around the 4 wires). New pictures below...

I have some really good pics of them (as i hardwired my road angle so took all the pics of the wiring) but they are on my other laptop

The socket i am thinking of if the big round one which is attached to the plastic cover above the pedals (not sure if it is the odbc now - but it was a port of some sort)

The white and black round one go into that.

Unless you dont have the port or the footwell lights installed on your car?

Maybe that's why, I don't have the footwell lights, no. I will have another look at the socket. It is there but another piece of plastic covers that thing which is not as easy to take out.

Weird as i remember seeing some spare plugs, and looked around but everything was ok, bar two :|

OBD2 port was fine, and foot light was fine. Could not see anything else they could go to

Thanks, I tried that one but doesn't seem to go on there either. I have given up looking for now but will try again later.

It could well be that it has something to do with the odbc but I can't find a matching socket to save my life (yes, I have looked at the entire area where the thing is located ) I wonder if it could have anything to do with the brakes, assisted brakes or something as that seems to be where on of the cables is plugged into.

I also phoned BMW oncall but they told me that its nothing to worry about, I should just pop by the workshop on monday
