should i include many aspects to the poll

how about, the sales person was absolutely gorgeous :)

I went for looks. I think I would probably still have one if it only came with a 2.0. If it looked like an mx-5, I wouldn't.

I bought the Z for looks, but bought the M for performance so not really a straight forward answer.

If I just wanted performance, I would have had an M3.
X2...

I wanted a 2 seater that was fast, looked good and was RWD. The MC does all those nicely. If i could get a car that offered all the above for a better price/performance ratio then i'd probably go with that. Doesnt mean i dont adore my Z4 though.

First impression must be looks . I feel its not until one has been driving the zed for a few weeks that the performance can be appreciated and as pvr states ,the zed is value for money .

Both. If it was slow I wouldn't have bought it. If it looked crap or boring I wouldn't have bought it.
I wanted something fast that looked good and wasn't common.

I spent a long time weighing up Z4MC vs Cayman S. In the end it was the savage performance that sold the ///M for me. That the Cayman looks a mite ordinary was a secondary consideration. Personally, if the Z4MC had been unaffordable, I wouldn't have bought an M3 as it just isn't special enough. Overall, it's both, but performance > looks.

i like the uncommon look of the coupe, i de-badged the boot so only those that are in the know realise what i am driving

power and performance and even now that i allready have it i wan't MORE POWER AND MORE LOOKS
Love the oem rear spoiler, supercharger, strut brace, remap, Ess, RPI exhaust, RPI scoops, Eisenmann exhaust, Sport button, Carbon fiber interiour aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i need help :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Bought my Z on the looks but went for the 3.0 for performance and glad i did.

Could never buy a car on handeling and performance alone i have to love the looks of a car.

This is my first BMW i do like E30s and onced looked for one but had no joy and bought my Calibra instead and if i changed my Z4 it would not be another BMW as i do not like the looks of any others in the range enough to buy although the new Z is growing on me.

Looks and economy + practicality (relative to what it is) for me... if i wanted performance (with less economy and boot space) i would have got an M

That's an easy one to answer. Anyone who didn't buy the M, sDrive 35i or sDrive 35is clearly bought it for looks. :P :fuelfire:

There is medical evidence to suggest that there is an inverse relationship between the size of a man's penis and the horsepower, size, and/or flashiness of his car. Riding an extremely loud motorcycle or driving any excessively high powered car is said to be a sure sign of a man with a tiny penis. While there are only a few clinical trials to confirm this, a 2004 survey by Tesco Personal Finance claims that 80% of women believe there is a negative link between the size of a man's car and his ego and that high powered cars are directly linked to men with egotistical characteristics and a small penis.

Z4 Beemer - what model of Zed do you drive.....? :poke: :fuelfire:

Ooooo That must be me then! :headbang:

AlanJ, does that mean that Beedub has had to lop off one third of his penis? :D

Both. The roadster didn't grab me, but when I saw the lines of the coupe, I had to have it. Baby is in the shop-new subwoofer and trying to figure out why I get a check engine soon light (that reset itself over the weekend, grrrr). Driving a 128i. Nice car, but definitely NOT my Z!

STOP USING THE OTHER 1

I CREATED 2 BY ACCIDENT, THIS IS THE 1 TO USE

MODERATORS, DELETE THE OTHER 1 LOL

As soon as I saw the E89 on the TV I just had to have one. I went for the 2.5 as performance was of secondary importance. At My age another fraction of a second to reach 62 MPH makes no difference. Top up or top down I just love driving it in places like the Yorkshire moors or the lake district. The 2.5 can hold it's own on roads like that with most other cars. People look at the car because it is a beautiful car and not beacuse it will do X mile per hour in Y gear. You young chaps may not hold the same view now but just wait until the years roll by. End of sermon....... :driving:
