I am liking the autotrader one! thats entirely perfect, bar the price! i need to save abit extra, by which point they probably wont be cars i want around
I always ring and say my budget so I dont waste anyones time. Usually it works fine.
Give it a try, it looks good :driving:

Thats a good shout that, might give it a try  cheers.

is there anything to keep an eye out for, or are they pretty horror free?

They are pretty bombproof if you land a good one . Search the forum for the buyers guide . Cant remember who posted it but it was a good read
If it helps i use a indy guy in Great Harwood for service & repairs . He's ex main dealer master technician & can,t fault him on service or cost

Hi and welcome, take a look at the FAQ for common issues, but roof motor and rear springs are probably the most common followed by wiper motor and window regulator.

Ah excellent, i did wonder where a specialist would be around here, dont fancy paying main dealer prices for service and inspections etc.

yeah ive heard the roof motors go and can be costly, springs wouldnt be too much of a worry for me because i will no doubt be lowering it
are wiper motors pricey?

that one really is perfect! has everything bar the msport wheel, which for the better seats etc i can forgive it! massive want!

I'm quite impressed with your insurance quote!

I'm 21 and drive a Z4C, I pay £1500ish to insure it, had to be done it one hit however, monthly payments were over a grand a month!!!!

Not sure where this lovely driving location is your referring to however, I'm from South Wales and I find myself going over constant speed bumps
and pot holes :-( I lowered mine and did some spacing... I'm now having second thoughts.

Keep us updated, always interested to see another youth on the forum lol, dare I say there aren't many :tumbleweed:

Yeah that insurance quote is to pay all in one go.

I enjoy driving back from Tenby, through some interesting place names

Aye I only turned 22 at the start of this month I couldn't believe the change in prices!
Not many young ones on here then?

There are a few younger members. Tom Scott, Junior Jet, Woots to name a few with Ms in their early to mid twenties

I have to agree, for me going from 20 to 21 basically meant I could insure any car within my price range and even a few which weren't.

I looked at the M's but the MPG figures put me off with the ZED being my daily.

The 3.0 seemed to offer both outstanding performance and MPG figures.

does anyone know the prices on the options list? like price of satnav dvd thing when new and the memory seats, just so i can weigh up howmuch over my budget to go lol

Couldnt think of anything worse than lowering it. Mine already catches on some speed bumps, and the ride is hard. Not to mention the insurance increase.

i already drive a very low car so im useto not going down roads with speed bumps, insurance does really change for the amount i would lower it, just want rid of arch gap

Lowering seems to be a bit of a lifestyle choice, for me its a MUST and other's seem to hate the idea....

I had a BMW Specialist lower the car and after getting it off the alignment his reaction was "wow"... mine the same....

The image is massive so I will just provide the link!

Wow that looks fantastic! Howmuch did it cost you to get it lowered? Would do it myself but if its cheap enough il have it done

I bought the springs before I even had the car I was that committed.

Springs: £190
Fitting and hunter alignment: £220 <-- not bad for specialist price (however if you have tools to do it yourself that's quite a lot to save)
then..
Rear 1" Spacers: £80

Perfect stance now IMO.

My ride isn't PERFECT with the shitty condition our roads but you can feel how planted the car + most importantly it looks great.
(I'm soon ditching my run flat tyres soon, might regain a little comfort then)

+1 on lowering and spacing, followed by a proper alignment. I now have another reason to take the long way home. Though I caught the side skirt on a speed hump with one-way 'flaps' yesterday in a car park at Thurrock. Soooo pissed off :headbang:

Still wouldn't put the old springs back on though :D

My corsa has them one way flaps bouncing off the floor all the time haha

Low cars always look better provided it doesn't look broken
