Looking to get back into a Z4!

Hi all,

I’m back on the forum after 3 years away, having sold my original Z4 to have a bit of a quarter life crisis and bought a brand new Jaguar F Type V6 coupe (due to a 20% discount at work), which I kept for a year. Then I bought a very early V6S convertible which had horrible corrosion problems - thank god for Jaguar corrosion warranty - so sold that and bought a gorgeous very low mileage and immaculate Italian racing red V8S which was an absolute monster. I sold that in September as I just wasn’t using it (COVID) and I was constantly worried about using it as it was in such great condition, I didn’t want it to lose value.

Since my first Z4, I’ve now got a company car which I was doing 20k miles a year in, but with COVID, I’m doing far less. As a result, I’m considering chucking in the company car and getting back into a fun, useable, reasonably priced E85 (maybe E86) as I’ve missed the fun and didn’t worry about really using my last one! So here I am..

Hopefully I’ll find something in the coming months!

I sold my 2017 E220d which I used for cummuting, I am lucky to now work from home. So after driving diesel cars for many years, I bought a Z4 3.0i for a bargain price and it's amazing how much better it is for a car that's 15 years old.

I also had an SL65 AMG Black series replica and I must say the Z4 is very very close.

This is my first Z4 E85 and I must say I'm loving it. Not parking it up for the winter like some. I'm going to use it unless it's snowing and the gritters have been out. If the sun's out the roof will be down.

It sounds like you worked your way through most of the F-Type range!

Good luck finding your ideal Z4.
