There was a facelift in early 2006 and the facelift 3 litre Z4s got a newer generation of engine that is a bit more powerful, but your budget may determine which version you would be looking at.

There are 2 available at the higher end of prices with the original 231bhp engine, on this forum: (yes one is mine)

Loads available across Facebook, Ebay and Autotrader from these prices downwards - and facelift models with the 260 bhp engine upwards.
Remember the cheaper ones won't necessarily prove to be the bargain they seem as there are quite a few common faults that can and will crop up.
Mine's in Somerset if that's any good to you.
