Looking to buy a z4 - a few questions

Hello,

Im looking to buy myself a Z4 for my birthday in July :D ( i know its a reasonable way off) i have to wait till my 21st in order to insure it lol...

I want a 3.0 roadster with sat nav. I have seen a few advertised with TV, is this easily added after? is it just a module or something? (sorry i did try searching but it doesnt let me search 2 letters :? )

Also are xenons an extra as i havent seen too many with them?

First things forst, have you found out how much insurance is?

TV can be retrofitted at a cost, it aint cheap and if it's got it already, probably analogue so wont work anywhere in 2 years.

Xenons, you have answered your own question :wink:

That's why I asked, some have paid over 3K, which is even more crazy than £1,900

Why do you want TV though, do you plan on sitting in the car in lot's of traffic jams or carpark meets?

That is a true point, its just a gimmick that i would probably never use.

Anyone got any tips when purchasing a z4? im looking for a 3.0 with sat nav, leather and ideally xenons. In dark grey, silver or black. O and 18" wheels but i can allways add these after!

My only tip would be take your time. It took me 3 months to find a black 3.0 with the 18" wheels I wanted and <20k miles. I went to see 4 cars until I chose this one.

I spent every day at work looking through car sites. I could look at a picture of any Z and tell some its engine size, interior and extras - sad times... :oops:

Keep checking Autotrader and pistonheads. Something is bound to turn up eventually. Have you considered a 2.5i? Will drop a £1k+ off your purchase and pos save £400 a year

I think you need to buy a car first! Although that would help you rule out what colour it was originally!

I want matt black but cant justify the need for it. I'm secretly hoping someone puts a scratch on my car so I have no choice but to buy a wrap... :D
