Looking forward to Z4MC ownership

Only go halves on a car with a mate if the mate is out of the country for most of the year but will still pick up half the bills.

Now then, this will be the same mate that I went halves on previously. We had a 98 SL500 which cost us the princely sum of £5250 a few years back. I drove Mrs Tankman and me all the way to Monaco for the classic GP. If I remember correctly, it got really really hot as we dropped into Monte Carlo from the Route Napoleon. The city was closed off for practice so the diversions were causing severe jams. Whilst stationary, I closed the roof, engaged the air con on full power and we were chilling nicely as we glided past a broken down Ferrari.
 :( :?
I believe it was a 365 Daytona. A completely different animal to the 550 we are looking at. Anyway, I think I did the best part of 3500 miles in it over 18 months or so for high days and holidays.

My mate did 123 miles in it. He has 4 kids and a job in the city which means busy weekends and commuting on the train only. He doesn't have to be out of the country much.

:D

You have obviously spent a bit of time thinking about this and are very very cunning.

It was for sale from this dealer around about 12 months ago, it sold and then was back for sale Autumn time privately for a similar price. It appears that the guy sold it back to the dealer he bought it from.
That's just what I've observed whilst I was looking for mine the last year.

Picked the M Coupe up today and drove it back on a mixture of M, A & B roads. Love it to bits but it is in need of some fettling on the suspension. At the pace I normally drive, there is some disconcerting bump steer happening on rougher B roads, it will tend to follow any ruts and is generally a little nervous at the front.

Nothing that Chris Franklin at Center Gravity can't sort out so will be booking it in with him ASAP.

Sounds as if your long wait was worthwhile.

You have been on here long enough to know that a few pics are expected; indeed they are required!

Enjoy :driving:
