Hey,

It's been a while but I'm back, and looking for a Z4M Coupe.

I had an interlagos 2008 with Nav and always regretted selling it.

I'm looking for a full service history, low to mid mileage Z4M Coupe, flexible on colour and spec.

Must have had NO bodywork or paint. And have FSH inc 1200 mile service.

I'm based between Edinburgh and London....

PM me if you have one, I'm particularly partial to interlagos, red, black and CSL's.... :)

Wrong colour and no csl's but a vgc z4m none the less (not that I'm biased)

scotia_steve74,

Hi Steve,

I have a Sepang bronze 2008 car with 14k miles on the clock. FBMWSH inc running in serivce. Last service was 150 miles ago. I am the 3rd keeper.

She's on CSL's and H&R lowering springs and has the exhaust by-pass (all done by me).

Let me know if it's of interest. I'd need £24k for the car.

cheers,
Dan

You're like a serial offender when it comes to these cars Danny, why can't you enjoy them for 5 mins before trying to swap them around? And you don't 'need' 24k for the car, everyone on here knows how much it was advertised for... You mean you've spent a little on it and are trying to capitalize. Why not enjoy the car for longer and yield a larger return given some time?

I'm actually preparing to start my own business, so the toy has got to go.

As for capitalising- car was 21k when I bought it, new CSL and tyres were virtually 2k service last week was 250. Totalling 23250.
These cars have moved upwards in value recently, and considering this is a first paint car, low miles, low owners fsh, awesome colour, I don't think I'm being unreasonable.

Hope this explains.

Danny I admire your entrepreneurial spirit!

I don't see why people are so bothered about cars having had a paint - it doesn't necessarily mean they've been in an accident and if you've had the car wet sanded by someone like KDS Keltec, the finish will be miles better than when it came out of the factory.

I would love to give my front end a respray for stone chips/rash etc, but it is the above comments that put me off

The reason for the 'thing' over repainted cars is due to one main reason.

Filler! Normally a car is repainted because of a scratch, dent or accident.

In most cases filler will be used to create a smooth surface for the paint to adhere to.
Bearing in mind that most body shops in the world are not sealed from dust etc, and the filler is rarely allowed to dry fully, it can cause bubbling a couple of years down the line.
Also most cars are left with a dent or scratch for a few weeks before being repaired. If the metal has been exposed to the elements for any length of time then corrosion will have set in. Once in, never out.

It's like woodworm!

The only way to do it properly is to replace the panel with a brand new one and then find the best body shop you can and pay through the nose for a top job.
In my experience this doesn't happen very often.

Yes but you are talking about accident damage. People have their bumper, bonnet or front wing re-sprayed all of the time for purely cosmetic reasons. The factory finish on BMW cars is rubbish anyway so I'd rather buy a car that Kelly at KDS has seen frankly.

Thanks Danny, 24k is too much for me and I'm not a Sepang bronze fan.

Haha, good luck to Danny, got to admire the optimism. Yes the CSLs were £2k, but are you throwing in the discarded 224's also? You'd have made £750 selling those, so surely you'd need to discount the price a little

£24k would be strong money for this car from Munich Legends, £21k private is still very strong money, CSLs or not. Good luck with your business and whilst every bone in my body hopes you sell it for £24k, I can't see it selling for more than £21k.

CSLs, whilst expensive to buy, rarely add much value to a car, maybe make it easier to shift, but not at additional premium. You'd be better flogging them separately.

OP there is a nice Ruby Black Z4MC at Munich Legends, 24,500 miles for £21,450.

Did you get rid of the grey one in the end Danny? Also if you managed to score genuine CSL's with tyres, how did you get that all for under 2K?

Turns out mine has had a front bumper respray, personally doesn't bother me if it has been done by the right people for the right reasons...

Danny and Paza.....Bad lads...

Would put Danny in a different ball park to Paza. Danny sold one Z4MC to buy another, to try to sell at a profit. I genuinely believe Paza bought the car to use and sold according to market values.

Either, nobody is in the wrong. The car will sell for what somebody is willing to pay. If a profit is made, fair play.

They are selling on average between 11k and 14k on eBay for mid mile coupes

It depends what you define as "mid miles".

From what I've seen £13,500 - £14,000 seems to be the selling price for Z4MCs with 60-70k miles.

If you want lower mileage, prices move up quite a bit. for a <40k car, selling prices are anywhere from £17,000 - 22,000 (for a private sale).

The £11-14k examples, if low mileage, would be Cat C/D in my experience.

OP, the Ruby Black MC at Munich Legends Steven mentioned has got to be one of the best MC buys out there right now, I have inspected and driven the car myself and had I literally not just taken delivery of my Interlsgos, this would have been my car and I'm VERY fussy!
