Looking for my 1st E85/E86!

Have been lurking for a few weeks since deciding upon an E85/86 Z4 3.0 Si as my next car.

Have owned 2 130i's with the same engine in the past and fancy something different (and cheaper!) than the W205 C-Class I've been driving for the past 2 years...

Hopefully will find a suitable car over the coming weeks and then will get down to making the ride as fun as possible.

PS. If anyone has recommendations, my spec requirements are as follows: N52, Xenons, Heated Seats, PDC Rear, BMW Hi-Fi.

PPS. Forgot to mention, if someone is looking to buy a 2017 C200 AMG Line on 28K miles, please let me know!

Hi and welcome to the forum, Tom.

The 3 litre N52 is a great engine, and works even better in a Z4 than it does in my 330i so hopefully you might find the same applies compared with your 130is!

Just so you know, the UK didn't take a huge number of E86s - just over 2,000. But less than 1,000 E85 3.0Sis so you might need to travel to find one with all 5 of those options fitted.

After searching and finally acquiring my E85 I absolutely
had no desire to look at an E86. When I drop the top, all of
my feelings towards the convertible example was solidified.
Exhilarating!!!!

Welcome to the forum. As ph001 states the two models are quite different. You need to drive both and consider what you want from your Z4. I bought the E85 as a weekend car and getting the hood down is a fun drive and one which my wife believes make it more of an occasion when we go anywhere in it.
