Looking for input on "half covers"

My car is parked outside and there is an annoying cat that likes my soft top. A full cover inst practice for me as this is my DD.

Does anyone have reviews on either of these half covers or have any recommendations? I like the idea of magnets solding it in place, just not sure about scratching the paint.

Thanks in advance,
Matt

From the ebay listing on this one:

Much thought has gone into ensuring that the Cabrio Shield is easy to use, secure and won’t damage your cars paint.

Do a search for 'Buzztops' on here or on ebay.
Cheaper than a cabrio shield and much the same design.
useful for keeping off pesky animals or the winter weather.

I've got one of these cost around £40, it does the job

I have a buzz top for the winter weather and to keep the bird s**t off whilst I'm on holiday it's fab -

Make sure you read the linked thread matt - I've had three different half covers and they all marked the paint - am presently using a light weight plastic coated cover - see the link above.

I did search before I posted this and missed that thread, great info. Thanks for the link and saving my paint.

Did I someone say that BMW made a roof cover?

I wish, its room mates cat. Plus the tom cat would probable get back at me by ripping my top to shreds. :headbang:

Tacky as it may be, the large bath towel over the top every night will have to remain.

For winter I'll pick up the OEM BMW full cover since the car will not be driven.

Air Rifle? :poke: :fuelfire:
So many cats, so few bullets....

(disclaimer: I love cats, have two of my own and would never shoot a domestic cat. Feral cats, on a farm, or in the wild, however..... )

Purchased this half cover a few months back and couldn't be happier.

Thanks for recommending it!

I reckon Cabrio Shield still have the best design when it comes to paint protection and security (velcro + padding + magnets + door/boot jam traps). Unfortunately their standard product deteriorates very quickly - it goes brown and the vinyl lining cracks, which allows dampness to get in. They must have noticed this too because they now offer a "premium" version - likely to be the half cover benchmark now, but very expensive at £140!

No worries - using mine through the week now, its a good feeling that the soft top is keeping dry.

I picked up a Cabrioshield pretty cheap on eBay, yes it fades but not sure that really matters, no issues with it splitting or marking the paintwork.
I've just packed it away at the weekend and purchased full cover for winter.
