Looking for help

Hello everyone.

I bought a Z4 2.2 se 2004 last week and have a few question about it.

There seems to be a couple of tell tell signs it's been sprayed which is fine as they have done a good job. But on the inside edge of front wings and the bonnet and boot the panels seems to be in the primer that a new panel comes in. Is this normal for a Z4? :?

Is the inside of the engine bay meant to be in the same colour as the body? All the Vin numbers and paperwork match and passed all the checks. :) I just need to put my mind as ease.

Plus one last thing this there ment to be covers on the inside of the bonnet and boot lid?

The car is sliver so the panel paint differences isnt that noticeable as the primer is a light grey.

I would be very grateful for any help.

All sounds standard fayre Stevo & i remember after viewing my first Z4 i contacted member "Taz" to ask some similar question's .
Why not post a intro in the newbies section & attach some piccies  & enjoy the Z

Like Mr Wilks it seemed strange to me too when I was checking over my first Zed but by now, with these posts, you should be feeling more confidence in your purchase.

I went on to worry about how the roof failed to respond immediately to the button press - they all take a slight delay before starting. I was concerned it didn't have a spare wheel and jack - weight saving through runflat tyres. . . . I thought the steering was kaput as it tramlined all over - sorted with non runflats, the alarm didn't make a noise or flash when being turned off - can be changed by coding your key but I've never bothered - the list goes on.

Keep reading the forum - you'll get to know your Zed over time!

You'll also grow to love it!

Welcome to the Forum.

There was a whole thread about the inside colours of the bonnet a while back, there was no rime or reason why some were matt car colour, some were black not matter what the exterior colour.
