Looking for an MC

In my opinion etadlm it's sacrilege :) As you say though, each to their own.
+1

If I'm at the lights and someone is eager to race, I step out the car and specifically bring the badges to their attention.

To the brake judder, is it a minor vibration through the car, or does the steering wheel shake as if a wheel is out of balance? If the discs are warped you'll want them changed as a condition of sale.

Sounds like a solid car though. Hope it works out

Yeah I think I'll put the badge back.

Stuart, I don't think they were warped, it wasn't that bad, but I'll double check.

Mine was debadged. Jo at Sopers will sort you out for about £20 each badge (boot badge is not the same as the wing badges: different part number) if you give him the chassis number.

I see you are ex tvr like me ! I miss my tvr very much in fact would like a t350 but it wouldn't get used as much as my mc which although not as characterful as the tiv is a lot of fun and even a bit growly !!

Great thanks. It's only the rear badge that's missing - and £20 seems very reasonable :)

Yep picking her up before lunch - can't bloody wait.

BTW, thanks to everyone on here - heard earlier today that the air con issue was indeed Transit mode.

This is a great forum, looking forward to participating :D

I'm going to try to get some sleep now...

Picked her up this morning in the lashing rain. Been driving her most of the day (and night) so far. Absolutely love it - much better than I thought it was going to be. Off to Devon on Tuesday for a few days so will do some proper mileage. Can't wait.

The engine is astoundingly good - more linear than I expected -but the car is effing quick when the engine is on song. Brakes are really meaty, steering very responsive and the noise, whilst much quieter than the TVR, is very very good.

Seriously impressed. This car is so much more involving and characterful than the Cayman S I had in 2008/9.

Will post up some pics when it stops raining for 5 secs.

 Enjoy her Diderot and have yoursef a blast down in Devon :driving:

Thanks guys!

Just checked tyre pressures this morning - way out 26/27 rears and 25/26 fronts. :x She drives even better now though .

Btw do all, MCs have a strut brace?

Cheers

Many have the additional brace between the front towers which is a BMW OEM accessory, the tie backs to the bulk head are standard. Check your insurance if you have / going to get one as Privilege reufused to cover my car if I fitted one. I am going to dispute this when I have time and look for cover elsewhere when renewal comes up.

Ok fellas, here are two (crap) pics from Devon (I'm not a photographer):

Anyway, the car so far has been sensational - the engine, mental. Was getting 28 mpg on the way down here; currently 24 mpg around the lanes and up and down the hills (and the occasional razz to 8k). Ride is bloody harsh though!

One quick favour, I've ordered the bootlid M badge (as mine was debadged). Could someone confirm the exact location to stick it on - maybe measuring from left of lid and bottom of lid to the badge please? Don't want to get the first mod wrong :)

Cheers!
