Looking for an Independent in Swindon area

Hi all I've been enjoying my new zed so much since I bought it in October that it seems time for a service already. So I'm looking for a decent indy, in or around Swindon, to use from now on.
I'm happy doing the usual stuff myself (fluids etc). I'd like the car to have a good check over, especially suspension.

What a coincidence. I have my Zed in today at PC Autocare. The first time it's ever been to an indy. Will let you know how it goes.

Car in for MOT and headlamp draining/drying.

Seemed very helpful and friendly. There were a couple of repeat customers in the office who were very positive.

Total cost for MOT , headlamp removal/strip/drying £180.

Charged me £7 for silicone sealant though which is about £7 for a BIG tube.

Compared very favourably to the Stealers at Dick Lovett.

Disappointed with Pritchards in Gloucester ... I was recommended to them after I bought my Zed in the summer so popped in to book the car in for a new owner vehicle health check and report. I advised them on dropping off the car that there was a squeak type noise coming from the engine whilst under load at low revs and was told not a problem leave it with us. When I went back to collect the Zed at the agreed time the work had not been done and I had to wait for the check to be completed. I got told there were error codes present but the mechanic had wiped the recorded error codes and failed to note what they were. The mechanic subsequently failed to spot the air intake pipe had a split in it (which turns out was the reason for the squeak and had the error codes been noted then it would have led straight to the pipe!).

For a company that labels itself a BMW specialist, it was, in my opinion, a complete waste of time and a waste of £60.00 + VAT and on that basis I wouldn't go back.

That doesn't sound good. I have mentioned Pritchards on here before but it's 'bmw motor specialists ltd' I'm recommending. I recently had an inspection 2 and had the brake fluid changed and cant fault them. I picked up the car today as it had a new n/s wheel bearing put on (diagnosed on insp 2), again can't fault them. When I took the car in on both occasions I made sure it was spotlessly clean inside and out, both times I picked up it has been hoovered even though the dust / little stones etc would have been minimal.
