looking for A Z4 Now I know what I want!

Hi all

After reading and looking around, I know what I'm after.....

3.0 litre Z4 Manual
2.5 litre considered.
Prefer Heated leather
Great to have upgraded hifi and steering colum controls.

Age not so important within reason but lower miles / service history / condition will be the deal breaker.

I originally had set myself a budget of 5.5K but can stretch to £6.5k for the right one.

Hopefully that should put me into something nice if they appear?

You would think so but nothing local at all.

There is a 3.0 2004 on autotrader with all the toys and history, low miles not too far away but he wants £7350 which seems OTT to me? :o

How many miles? People put a premium on low miles - not always a good thing if left standing instead of being used.

You could try a low offer - its the worst time in the year to be selling.

I'm near Cardiff.
The mileage was 64,000 and advertised as 'cherished' and mint.
The pics looked good etc and it had everything but £7350 did seem ott for '04 regardless.
The ad has expired now so link is dead.
 
Hammer this one closer to £6k & you should be good to go on 05 plate 3.0 :thumbsup:

That's not a low enough mileage to merit such a high price. For the age it's low but not a premium price, just easier to sell.

You haven't missed a bargain. . . .

Mr Wilks is right about travelling for the right car.

I travelled to Aberdeen from Halifax, on a plane (Have a flying phobia :cry: )

Had a lovely drive over Braemar, got a puncture, & had to be low loaded to Perth!!

No one in a 50 mile radius had a matching Michelin tyre for the ruined one, and I ended paying over £400 for the only pair of tyres available (which I didn't really want).

The tyres were not delivered until 3.00 pm the following day so I paid £79 for a room & had a shed load of beer in a local tavern.

Despite ALL this I still ended up with one of the best, if not the best Z4M on the market :thumbsup:
 
Keep looking and be prepared to travel a few miles, for the right car. A decent lowish mile 3.0 should be doable on your budget. Good hunting. :thumbsup:

I meant offer him closer to £6000 & for a 05 plate 64k 3.0 roady that the seller claims has been exceptionally well looked after you should have a decent buy :thumbsup:
