Sounds like a stupid question in a Z4 forum but being a tight Yorkshireman and my 35mile commute to work each day - what type of MPG can i expect from the 2.0i?

Thanks!

I have always driven mine robustly (as one must with a four-pot) and happily seen a consistent 38 mpg.

And being a TY :) if its the wind-in-your-hair ragtop experience you are after, the 2.0 is more than adequate. Even when you can, doing much more than 90 or so in the ragtop isn't very pleasant in the long run...! Plus its running/service costs are waaaaay lower than the bigger engines.

Cue the boys with their little willies :poke: :fuelfire:

Yep totally agree with lacroupade, consistent 38ish average on 25 mile round daily commute, half town in rush hour traffic, half A-road with a firm foot :driving:

Over the last 230miles I have got 28mpg but 90% of that was short trips in town (3miles) Yesterday went for a run approx 60 miles and was geting 38ish.
This to me is great as my last car only did 20 mpg on a run.
Get the 20i roadster good mpg and wind in your hair, you will love it  :driving: :poke: :fuelfire:

I've got a diesel Mini at the moment 1.4d - 60mpg+ so it will be quite a shock. It is the best car I have owned for mpg .

38mpg - thats pretty good. I'm 20miles A road across the Pennines and then 15 miles motorway to work. so that should be pretty good!

Thanks for the replies. According to Autotrader - it is quoting 50mpg on extra urban!

On a light throttle at about 60mph on a flat road thats doable :)
