Why people don't think to get it fixed before someone comes to view it :headbang:

I had been putting off fixing mine for ages, but i figured i'd need to fix it at some point before i ever sell the car. So I may aswell do it straight away and at least i know the airbags are going to work! £200 fix though :x

OP if you buy that car make sure the fault is cured and not just wiped the codes for a temporary fix.
£200 to reset the airbag light which takes 2 minutes!!
Good work if yoiu can get it
Can this be done by an owner or do you need software?
Is it £200 or can it be done cheaper; Im based in Hants?
Cheers

what are swirls/holograms ???? :?
They're very fine circular scratches in the lacquer that come from poor washing techniques employed by the illegal immigrant valet-monkeys that some BMW dealers pay minimum wage for.

The holograms are imperfections in the lacquer caused by poor machine polishing techniques employed by some BMW bodyshops when trying to correct the swirls/scratches created by their valet-monkeys.

Some people find that a simple reset cures the light but more often than not the light comes back on due of an actual fault, loose connection, faulty occupancy sensor, pretensioner, airbag control unit etc.

In my case it was the passenger occupancy sensor which required removing the seat, taking off the leather and replacing the sensor so not cheap :(
