So, finally managed to get the car in for its full detail and ceramic coating this morning. Hes all coated up and being left to cure and honestly I'm so excited to get him back. LOOK AT MY SHINY THING!!!

On another note, anyone had this done and can comment on wear? Been told I should be good for the next 5 years before it will truly wear down.

The ceramic coating will Mar and pick up swirls, so you still need to be careful with your wash method... although this is less obvious on a white car.

You also need to be careful with certain snow foams and APC’s as these can strip ceramic coatings over time.

I’d recommend you ask your detailer what you can and can’t use with the coating applied

I'll do just that! :P

Looks very nice. Do you mind if I ask a ballpark figure of what it cost please? Been thinking about getting this done for mine - ta

Duration depends a lot on the coating that was applied. What was it they used? You need to wash it gently with preferably a PH neutral product which won't affect the sealant as they're chemically neutral and gentle. There are hundreds on the market but my preference is Bilt Hamber Auto Wash. Love the shine. :)

As has been said, wash with a ph neutral shampoo, and perhaps use a ceramic detailing spray periodically to keep it up .
mine was done 2yrs ago, and still has a great shine...

I've had a heavy discount due to the fact they rent their unit from us.

They normally charge £499 for for what they call "ultimate max protect Pro elite"

That includes everything from a deep clean to paint correction, paint enhancement, ceramic glass coat, hydrophobic coating on top of that and some interior stain protection coating on leathers, fabrics and carpets.

Pic him up at lunchtime so will get some more pics.

They have a website http://www.premiumccs.uk/ It lists the prices and various stages in each option , looks pretty comprehensive. not sure how the prices stack up to other detailers.
