Yal, of course I don't enjoy it and if there are other people around that will do it, I won't. It's just part of being responsible. If I kept all three cocks, they'd not only kill each other but the hens as well. Proper culling is all it is; painless and quick, but I won't say I like it :|. I had to watch all three periodically throughout the day and pick the gentlest one that would make the sweetest babies. Ever been spurred by a mean cock? OUCH!!! :pinch:

Ahh, I forgot to take out your part of the quote. I was pointing at Mr. Rick and his
What's wrong with a couple of overpowering cocks? :o
line.

I've had more than enough experience with mean roosters, dang that spur can be sharp!

Who enjoys the hand's on wringing of necks? I don't. Reminds me of the time we did a box full of pigeons in one afternoon. My dad asked me if I wanted to help prepare dinner... Dang, walked into that one!

Ah, I see. Get spurred once in a pair of shorts and you'll have NO problems eliminating them! Oh, I like pigeons too, those would be harder for me I think, never done one. My Frizzle cock has now assumed his proper place amongst the hens and has started to crow. He's very young still but will do fine.
Coons are the least of my problems out here, Coyotes, Barred Owls and Fox have always been the ones to wipe out my hens. I free-range and they coop themselves up at night. Never lost any in the coop knock on wood, it's always been in the day. Can't bring myself to shoot them though, they're just hungry and taking advantage of an easy meal. I've got the most beautiful Red Fox here. Just goes with the territory.

Just please don't talk about about cutting up the cocks....it makes me sad in the pants.

Luckily for me I haven't had to kill chickens or other food source. Unless you count fish. Though I have carried a small .22 in the woods :? Now I have shot armadillos and other annoying critters on occasion. I do have some country in me :D :poke:

 ....well thank God me and Yal aren't alone. Weirds people out sometimes when they see my eclectic personality. I love fast cars and the woods. I can dress up for an occasion or don my Carhart's for a day in the woods  . And your .22 counts by the way..

Well actually i've been in the woods with more than .22. I've shot damn near every rifle there is. Shot my dads 12 gauge more often than not. I just normally shoot at targets, don't hunt. A few pistols here and there.

Have you had a chance to do the machine gun thing at Discount Firearms?
