Look after your rubber....

Just returned home from hols to find a couple of shiny new bottles of Gummi Pflege awaiting me - I swear by this stuff to keep my seals and shuts in top condition. As my new toy is now pushing 6 years of age, its high time the rubber received some tlc! Any of you guys out there use it too?

It is good stuff but 2 bottles :o it goes a long way & i'm not even halfway through my first bottle which i bought 3 years ago

Ha! It took me about 3 years to get through the first bottle - I figured this would see me through to 2020!

Now what did you make me do ....

Guess you went for the 2 for £10 deal as well then? :D

Brilliant stuff, simple to use and does what it says on the tin... errrr... plastic

I've just got 2 bottles.

Has anyone tried it anywhere else apart from seals ?

I've tried it on the plastic cover on the wing mirrors to see how long it lasts.

I must have the older spray type not a stick.

Should have a foam applicator attached Andy , , ideal for running around boot ,door, & underbonnet seals

I have tube I bought from BMW 11 years ago, come out like toothpaste

#oldskool - like it!

Allegedly, BMW used to recommend and indeed sell it through the dealer network?

I have an old tube of this which is like toothpaste too.

Still works... Just doesnt smell minty fresh

I don't know this as fact, but I heard the old version that's like a paste was discontinued due to health and safety concerns due to the solvents used.
I've tried the newer water based stuff which has served me well so far. I put some on the wing mirror plastic too, and it has stayed a darker black for over 4 months now. Just keep it away from the glass, and make sure it dries well before it rains or too much dust gets on it.

I think I will try mine on the wing mirror plastic too. Took aaaaaaagggeeess to dry when I pit it on last week though.
