Hi All,

I am a long-time vintage BMW enthusiast, I have owned and driven a few vintage cars... Over the years, I have been a long time admirer of Z's and last year was offered a Z3 for a bargain price... The only problem was, after the test drive when I got back into my e39... I realised I really couldn't live with a Z3.

So, fast forward a year or so and I find myself looking for another car... My wife (also a lover of BMW's) found a Z4 on Gumtree and insisted I viewed it!

I have now owned my first Z4 for 1 week... a 2003, 3.0 Auto, with pretty good spec... The weather was lovely here yesterday, so I cleaned and treated the roof with BMW soft top cleaner and water repellent impregnating agent then washed and waxed, rain-x'd the windows and fitted new wiper blades...

Your Z4 looks good, but so does your 7 Series - and is that an E39 I see? :thumbsup:

I'm currently into my 14th year of BMW ownership, on numbers 5 and 6 at present! :worshipbmw: :wink:

Yes, that is an e39 - it is the car that my Z4 is replacing... I had my first E23 in 2002 and then had a break... Then in 2013 I picked up another E23 and haven't looked back! Meanwhile my wife has had an E30, 2x E34's an E23 and a very lovely E28

Close! They are Style 322's from an E84...

I know! It doesn't get much better!!

Here are a few of my other cars from the past few years... In the picture of 4 E23's left to right 1 and 2 are Mine and my wife's, 3 is a parts car and 4 is my friends - the only factory 2-tone I have ever seen!

I'd like to take credit for the wheels, but must admit they were a big part of the reason I chose this car, they really caught my eye and are newly refurbished with nearly new tyres, when you add that into the mix it makes for a very desirable package!
