Hi,

Looking at a Longlife Cat Back Exhaust from a dealer in Peterborough, quoting me £550 (inc VAT and fitting).

I have a z4 (3.0) 2004.

I will retain the twin pipe look as I think it looks best.

I am however in need of advice on sound level, as I want a nice growl, not a roar, subtle but shows off the 6 cylinder.

Im looking at Mild Sport, but wondered if anyone else had got their exhaust done in anything louder e.g. Mid etc.

This is the sound of the mid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxDy9fjcIMo

I also wondered how likely I was to sell my existing catback setup, as I will have no need in the future.

Thanks,

Steve

Have they got a clip of one on a Z4 3.0? It's very difficult to tell from YouTube clips - especially when it's a different car. Although it does sound like a good system. Not heard of anyone with Longlife before... I'd try, through Longlife, and find someone with one and see what they think, especially if it drones at all once it's been run in.

You should be able to sell the existing exhaust okay... even easier to sell you chrome tips

OMG, i cannot be leave i found a post on this!

This is the route im taking, custom built exhaust, full sport(because im 18) then sell my original to get some cash back

Well, the long life mid sports sound so nice, so i thought a long life full sport would sound amazing! i think thats what im going to go for.

Mmmm, Remus, Longlife, Longlife, Remus lol. Was looking at Mild Sport on the Longlife rather than Mid.

Anyway, looks more than likey Remus, got a good deal on it and it's built for the Z4 whereas Longlife is made onsite :)
